The Avathi N. Venkategowda Education Trust was started in 2006 in the memory of Late Shri N. Venkategowda, a pioneering agriculturist, who envisioned education for children in rural areas. He was instrumental in setting up Rural High School, Avathi in 1968. He was also the founder member of Janata Education Society, Bangalore & HOPCOMS, Bangalore. His contribution to rural development in Devanahalli Tq. is immense.

Anantha Vidyaniketana is a sch­ool started by the Avathi N. Venkategowda Education Trust in 2007. The School is the first of its kind in Devanahalli Taluk, offering the students teaching, infrastructure and environment comparable with the best schools.

The President of ANVG Trust Shri A.V. Narayanaswamy, is the eldest son of Late Shri N. Venkate Gowda. He is an advocate and well known personality in Devanahalli Taluk. He is the Secretary of Rural High School, Avathi for the past 25 years. His election to various public offices have provided him with invaluable experience and convinced him of the need for quality education in rural areas. He feels that such an education will make rural kids equally competent with urban kids. This will enable children from rural areas to seek avenues which were not accessible earlier and emerge as leaders and entrepreneurs.

A.V. Kempe Gowda is the youngest son of Late Shri N. Venkate Gowda, is an Electronics Engineer and is the Secretary of ANVG Trust. He has been looking after the day to day affairs of the school since inception and has seen the school grow from 95 Students in the first year to 1100+ students in the last academic year (2014-15).
